The Rate Includes

Collision Damage Waiver - Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is coverage that limits the driver's liability to the amount of the deductible/excess in case of car damage.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation is free of charge until 48 hours prior to the reserved rental start date. Cancellations within 48 hours prior to the rental start date incur a cancellation fee up to a maximum of 50 EUR.

For the purposes of this document, ''we'', ''us'' and ''our'' refer to Alotcars, ''you'' and ''your'' refer to the person booking a vehicle rental, and ''Supplier'' to the specific rental company who will be providing the vehicle. Please also keep in mind that the Terms and Conditions are subject to change without prior notice. These Terms and Conditions are of informative nature. The legally binding document is the Rental Agreement you sign with the Supplier when the Supplier hands the rental vehicle over to you. Alotcars does not take any responsibility regarding any agreements you sign locally with the Supplier.

Please note that the names of coverage products, fees, charges, optional extras, etc., used locally by the Supplier may not be exactly the same as the ones displayed on our website. The names here are standardised in order to better compare different Supplier offers.

Please note that the Supplier reserves the right to pass your booking on to other car rental companies in their referral network. In this case, the Supplier will act as an agent and the legally binding Rental Agreement will be signed between you and the car rental company that the booking is referred to. Rental conditions and requirements of other car rental companies may differ from those of this particular Supplier.

If you are not using a Visa credit card, all locally payable amounts may vary slightly due to differences in credit card surcharges. All the amounts displayed in these Terms and Conditions are calculated based on credit card fees for Visa cards.

Mandatory Surcharges Payable Locally

If any of the items listed here are shown as included in the rate, you will not be charged for them.

For rentals over 28 days the VAT rate is increased to 25%. The additional charge is paid locally when picking up the vehicle.

Super Collision Damage Waiver (SCDW)

NB! Local renters cannot use the Supplier's Third Party Liability coverage and must provide proof of personal liability coverage. Minimum required coverage is €1,000.

Driving Licence Insurance minimum of €10 per rental

If you waive any mandatory Supplier coverage products, you will have to pay an administration fee of €100.

Optional Extras

All extras that you book and that are not paid for at the time of booking must be paid for locally. Please refer to the Optional Extras section below.

The Supplier may require a special deposit for some special equipment. Please contact us directly for details or enquire with the Supplier when picking up the vehicle.

Parking and Toll Fees, Traffic Fines

Please keep in mind that you are responsible for all garaging and congestion charges, parking and other traffic fines and penalties, and toll fees / road tax (if not specified otherwise) incurred during the rental period. All such charges will be forwarded to you along with any administrative charges from us or the Supplier.

The Administration Fee is US$10.

The Administration Fee is €100 minimum of the fine or penalty amount.

If the police request any information about you from the Supplier, you will be subject to an Administration Fee of €10.

Parking Administration Fee of €10 per day up to a maximum of €100 per month. These parking fees apply only in Batumi, Kutaisi and Tblisi and are included in the rate for those cities. You must cover the parking fees in other cities independently.

If you lose a parking ticket, you will have to pay a fee of €10.

Seasonal Charges

High Season Surcharge (if applicable)

Winterisation Fee applicable from 1 January to 31 March. The maximum charge is €100 per rental.

This Supplier has not informed us of their winter equipment policies and requirements, but we are trying to get this information. Winter Tyres or Snow Chains may be required at least in some areas of this rental country during the winter, so please be aware that the Supplier may require you to purchase winter extras.

The Winterisation Fee is only mandatory in snow conditions.

Winter Tyres are included in the Winterisation Fee. Outside the period when the Winterisation Fee is charged, Winter Tyres are available as an optional extra. Extra charges may apply if you require non-studded Winter Tyres when only studded tyres are available. Please contact the Supplier directly for details.

Winter Tyres

Winter Tyres Fee of €10 per day with a minimum charge of €20 up to a maximum of €100 per rental, applicable from 1 to 31 March. This fee only applies in areas where such winter equipment is required by the law.

Winter Tyres are only mandatory under certain weather conditions – slush, ice or frost, packed snow, black ice.

Winter Tyres are not available for all car groups. Please contact us directly for details or ask the Supplier when picking up the rental vehicle.

If you are planning to drive the rental vehicle outside the rental country, please keep in mind that Winter Tyres are mandatory in some countries at certain times of the year.

Please note that One-Way rentals with Winter Tyres are only allowed between limited locations. Please contact us directly for details or ask the Supplier when picking up the rental vehicle.

Please note that Winter Tyres are not included in the Winterisation Fee.

Snow Chains

Please note that in many areas of Italy, especially in the northern and central parts of the country and in mountainous areas, all cars have to be either equipped with Winter Tyres or have Snow Chains from November 15 to April 15. Road signs indicating such requirements may be put up in all areas of the country in case of wintry weather conditions. If you are travelling to Italy during this period, we highly recommend that you book either Winter Tyres or Snow Chains (if not already included in your rental).

Snow Chains are included in the Winterisation Fee.

Snow Chains are not included for all car groups. Please contact us directly for details or ask the Supplier when picking up the rental vehicle.

Please note that Snow Chains are not included in the Winterisation Fee.

Snow Chains Fee of €10 per day. The maximum charge is €100. This fee is applicable from 1 January to 31 March. This fee only applies in areas where such winter equipment is required by the law. If you decline this, you will assume full responsibility for the vehicle.

Snow Chains are included in the rate at some locations.

Snow Chains are mandatory when travelling to certain areas in the rental country.

Supplier Fees and Surcharges

Young/Senior Driver surcharges – please see the Driver Age section for details regarding if and when these charges are applied.

One-Way Fee – this fee is only charged for One-Way rentals. Please see the One-Way Rentals sections for details.

Cross-Bordering fees – you may be required to buy special coverage products or pay additional fees if you wish to drive the vehicle outside the country or state where you picked it up. Please see the Cross-Bordering section for details.

Out of Hours Fee – you will only be charged this fee if you want to book your rental outside the Supplier's regular opening hours. Please see the Out of Hours section for details. Please note that if you book your rental pick-up or return outside the Supplier's regular opening hours and the Out of Hours Fee applies, Super Collision Damage Waiver is mandatory. The price of Super Collision Damage Waiver is included in the Out of Hours Fee.

Fuel charges – please see the Refuelling Fees section for details on the fees that apply.

Extra service fees – if you wish to use special services that may be offered by the Supplier, such as delivering the rental vehicle to a location of your choice, additional charges normally apply.

Penalty fees – if you break any rules stipulated in the Rental Agreement (e.g. drive the rental vehicle outside permitted areas, return the vehicle dirty, etc.), the Supplier may charge applicable penalty fees.

Energy Surcharge

Vehicle Maintenance Fee of €10 per day

Busing fee of €10 (applicable at airports that operate a consolidated car rental bus system)

Extra Mileage

Extra mileage is charged at €0.50 per mile. Extra mileage is charged at €0.50 per kilometre. The exact charge depends on the type of the specific rental vehicle. Extra mileage charges only apply if mileage is limited. Extra mileage charge for cross-bordering is €0.80 per mile.

Mileage Policy

Unlimited mileage

Limited mileage of 1000 km per rental if the rental vehicle is not driven outside the territory of the province/state where it was rented. Otherwise, a daily limit of 100 km is also applicable. For local province/state residents, a daily limit of 50 km is also applicable.

  • Special mileage limits may apply at certain locations, e.g., airports.

Unlimited mileage applies only in the state where you picked up the rental vehicle and the neighbouring states.

Mileage is limited to 500 miles in other areas.

Unlimited mileage within your country of rental. For cross-bordering into allowed regions (please see below for specifics), a fee of €0.50 per kilometre applies.

Unlimited mileage within your country of rental, mileage is limited to 1000 km for cross-border rentals (please see below for allowed regions).

Unlimited mileage applies only within a 500 km radius of the rental location. Outside the radius you will be charged €0.10 per kilometre.

For cross-border rentals of 1-14 days, mileage is limited to 100 miles per day.

For cross-border rentals of 14-28 days, mileage is limited to 150 miles per day.

Mileage is limited to 100 kilometres per day for cross-border rentals. For mileage over the limit, extra mileage charges apply.

The following mileage limits apply to local renters:

All residents of the rental state are considered local renters.

All those who live or work in Southern California are considered local renters.

You must present a same-day boarding pass proving that you have landed at the airport where you are renting at to qualify for unlimited mileage. If you cannot present it, mileage is limited to 100 miles per day.

In case of limited mileage, an unlimited mileage option is available locally for a fee.

The Supplier may choose to end high-mileage rentals at any time.

This Supplier's mileage policy is unknown, but we are trying to get the detailed information. Please be aware that mileage limitations and extra mileage fees may apply. Make sure you ask the Supplier for details when picking up the rental vehicle.

Fuel Policy

Full to Full - You will pick up the car with a full tank of fuel and you should also return it with a full tank. Additional charges may apply if you do not return the car with a full tank.

A prepaid fuel option is available for purchase.

The Supplier will not refund the cost of unused fuel when you return the vehicle.

The Supplier will refund the cost of unused fuel when you return the vehicle , minus an Administration Fee of €15. You must ask for a refund at the time of return.

If your fuel policy is Full to Empty or prepaid, you will have to pay for fuel when you pick up your rental vehicle. The exact cost of fuel depends on the fuel tank capacity of the specific rental vehicle and local prices. The cost of fuel is €50–100 depending on the type of the specific vehicle.

The Supplier will charge an Administration Fee of €10. The Supplier will charge an Administration Fee of €10–50 determined by the type of vehicle and fuel chosen. This fee is only charged if you choose the prepaid fuel policy.

Please keep in mind that fuel charges may change in accordance with the fuel market price.

If you request Delivery and/or Collection, the fuel used to provide this service is your responsibility.

Please note that there are problems with non-compliant fuel being sold in smaller petrol stations in this rental country, especially in smaller cities. The Supplier recommends that you only refuel at well-known brand petrol stations in bigger cities. Such brands include: Statoil, Neste, Olerex.

Fuel Deposit

The Supplier may require a fuel deposit. The fuel deposit is €100 maximum. This only applies to rentals with pick-up in Northern Ireland.

The Supplier requires a fuel deposit. The exact deposit amount is determined by the price of fuel at local petrol stations and the size of the particular vehicle's tank.

You will have to pay €100 as fuel deposit.

If you purchase the prepaid fuel option, you do not have to leave a fuel deposit.

Refuelling Fees

Refuelling fees only apply if you do not select the prepaid fuel option.

Fuel Administration Fee of 100% (if applicable)

If the vehicle is returned with less fuel in the tank than indicated in the Rental Document, you will have to pay a Refuelling Fee upon returning the vehicle.

If the vehicle is returned with less fuel in the tank than indicated in the Rental Document, you will have to pay a Refuelling Fee and for the missing fuel upon returning the vehicle.

If the vehicle is returned with less fuel in the tank than indicated in the Rental Document, you will have to pay for the missing fuel upon returning the vehicle.

If you do not return the vehicle with a full tank, the Supplier will not refund your fuel deposit. The Supplier does not allow partial refunds.

The Refuelling Fee is €40. The Refuelling Fee is €20 minimum. The Refuelling Fee is €2 per litre. The Refuelling Fee is US$2 per gallon. The Refuelling Fee is €2 per litre for petrol. The Refuelling Fee is €2 per litre for diesel. The Refuelling Fee is US$2 per gallon for petrol. The Refuelling Fee is US$2 per gallon for diesel. The Refuelling Fee is €40 plus the cost of missing fuel. The cost of fuel is €2 per litre. The Refuelling Fee per litre is 2 times higher than the market price for the same amount of fuel. The price of the missing fuel and the Refuelling Fee are deducted from your fuel deposit refund.

Please note that the fuel price per litre/gallon charged by the Supplier may be higher than the price at local petrol stations.

Depending on the type of vehicle, each 1/8 tank difference costs €20.

The Supplier will charge a fee of €50 if you do not close your rental deal in the correct manner and do not notify the Supplier of the missing fuel.

You must present a receipt from a petrol station proving that you have filled up the tank before returning the rental vehicle. The petrol station must be located within a 10 km radius from the rental office where you're returning the vehicle. The petrol station must be located within a 10 mile radius from the rental office where you're returning the vehicle. If the petrol station is further away from the rental location, you will be charged a Refuelling Fee of €45. The receipt must be presented if the car has been driven for less than 10 km kilometres. The receipt must be presented if the car has been driven for less than 75 miles. The receipt must be presented if the car has been driven for more than 75 kilometres. If you fail to provide a receipt, you will have to pay a fee of €50.

Customers who drive less than 100 kilometres will be automatically charged a fee of €50.

If the incorrect type of fuel is put in the vehicle, you will have to pay a penalty fee of €100 minimum.

If the incorrect type of fuel is put in the vehicle, you will have to pay a penalty fee of €500 maximum. You will also have to pay a handling fee of €50.

Driver Information

NB! Special conditions and requirements apply to local renters. Please contact us directly for details. If your official address is within a 100 mile radius of the rental location, you are considered a local renter.

Please note that the following car groups can only be rented by customers who have rented at least once before from the same Supplier in the same country (according to the ACRISS car code or the first letter of the code): PDAR, LDMR, XXAR.

If you need to change the name of the main driver when picking up the rental vehicle for some reason, e.g., forgotten credit card or Driving Licence, both the main driver in whose name the booking was made and the new main driver must be present and the new main driver must meet all the requirements.

Driver Age

Please note that Young/Senior Driver fees will only be displayed correctly if you entered your age correctly in the search criteria. If you add Additional Drivers to your rental and any of them are considered Young/Senior Drivers, you may have to pay both an Additional Driver Fee and a Young/Senior Driver Fee.

Different driver age restrictions apply to different vehicle groups and these are applied automatically to all online rental searches. If you entered your correct age and the online search returned a specific vehicle group, you are eligible to rent it. Please note that other Supplier restrictions, for example, on Driving Licence acceptance, still apply. Please note that Young and Senior Driver fees may apply.

Minimum driver age for the vehicle that you selected is 18.
Maximum driver age for the vehicle that you selected is 99.

Please note that the minimum Senior Driver Fee amount charged by this Supplier is €50–80 depending on the car group.

Please note that the minimum Young Driver Fee amount charged by this Supplier is €50.

The Young Driver Fee will be charged for a maximum of 10 days.

The Young/Senior Driver Fee includes special coverage.

The Senior Driver Fee includes special coverage.

Drivers under the age of 21 must present special documentation from their insurance provider to be able to rent. The documentation must state that they have been driving accident-free for the past 2 years. The documentation must be in English.

Drivers over the age of 70 must present special documentation from their protection company to be able to rent. The documentation must state that they have been driving accident-free for the past 5 years. The documentation must be in English. Please contact the Supplier directly for details on what kind of documentation is required. This information must be delivered to the Supplier at least 5 working days before the pick-up date.

Drivers over the age of 70 must provide a doctor's certificate confirming fitness to drive. The certificate must be issued no more than a month before the pick-up date. This information must be delivered to the Supplier at least 5 working days before the pick-up date. If the certificate is not presented, all insurance coverage will be invalid and you will be liable for the full value of the car.

All certificates must be printed.

Drivers under the age of 21 must purchase special insurance coverage. The special insurance coverage costs €10 per day depending on the type of vehicle. The maximum charge per rental is €100–300 depending on the type of vehicle. Drivers over the age of 70 must purchase special insurance coverage.

NB! Drivers under the age of 21 must have one of the following credit cards in order to be allowed to rent:

  • American Express
  • Diners Club

Please note that exceptions to driver age requirements as well as additional requirements may apply in certain locations within your rental country. For specifics, please contact us directly or enquire with the Supplier when picking up the rental vehicle.

Please note that Additional Drivers must be at least 25 years old.

Please note that this Supplier does not rent to people who fall under the following categories: students under 23 years of age, professional entertainers, professional sports people, trainers and managers.

This Supplier's age policy is unknown, but we are trying to get the information. Please be aware that fees and restrictions for Young and Senior Drivers may apply. Make sure you ask the Supplier for details when picking up the rental vehicle.

Required Documents

Please note that certain conditions and fees may differ for residents of the pick-up country and for non-residents.

Residents of the rental country must pass a credit check in order to be able to rent.

Local residents whose official home address is registered within 100 km of the rental location must pass a credit check with positive results in order to be able to rent.

Please note: it is required by law that you present a COPY as well as the ORIGINAL of your Driving Licence when you collect the vehicle.

NB! This Supplier has special rules regarding renting vehicles to non-citizens of the pick-up country. Please enquire with the Supplier when you pick up the rental vehicle.

You and all Additional Drivers must present a full valid original Driving Licence and the voucher or booking confirmation document when picking up the vehicle. If your Driving Licence has multiple parts, you must present all of them. All requirements apply to both you and any Additional Drivers.

You are allowed to drive with your National Driving Licence for up to 6 months after the date of entry into the rental country.

Only Driving Licences issued by the driver's country of permanent residence are accepted.

Only Driving Licences from the following countries/regions are accepted:

  • EU (in Latin alphabet)
  • EU/EEC countries
  • Geneva/Vienna Convention on Road Traffic member countries
  • Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC)
  • USA
  • Canada
  • France
  • Belgium
  • Australia

Driving Licences issued in non-EU/non-EEA countries are not accepted if you have been a resident of the rental country for at least 3 months.

International Driving Permits are also accepted.

The National Driving Licence you present must include your photo and signature.

Please note that only printed vouchers / booking confirmations are accepted, digital ones are not accepted.

If you cannot present a valid voucher / booking confirmation when picking up the vehicle, you must pay a penalty fee of €50.

You are not allowed to have committed any major traffic violations. If you have a UK Driving Licence and have any endorsements, please contact us directly before booking to make sure that you are eligible to rent from this Supplier. You must notify the Supplier prior to vehicle pick-up if your Driving Licence has any endorsements.

You must register your Driving Licence with the local traffic authorities.

Driving Licences with cancellations and/or erasures are not accepted.

Driving Licences containing amendments and/or adjustments are not accepted unless certified by the appropriate authorities. This certification must include both the date and a stamp.

You must have held your Driving Licence for a minimum of 1 full year(s). Those who have held their Driving Licence for less than 2 years are subject to a surcharge. The surcharge is €10 per day. The minimum charge is €50 per rental. The maximum charge is €100 per rental. If both the Young Driver Fee and this surcharge should apply to you based on your age and the period for which you've held your Driving Licence, only one of these two fees will be applied. Please note that the issue date on Driving Licences issued in the US will change when you change your address. If you have changed your address within a year before your rental starts, you must present separate proof that you have held your Driving Licence for at least the minimum period of time required by the Supplier.

You must have held your Driving Licence for a minimum of 18 month(s).

There is a special requirement for drivers younger than 21. You must have held your Driving Licence for at least 3 full year(s).

Drivers aged 18-19 must have held their Driving Licence for at least 3 full year(s). Drivers in this age bracket who have not held their Driving Licence for that long are subject to a surcharge of €10 per day.

In some locations in this rental country, you must have held your Driving Licence for at least 3 full years.

Military Driving Licences are not accepted.

Probationary Licences are not accepted.

Temporary Driving Licences are not accepted.

Provisional Driving Licences are not accepted.

Those who hold a Provisional Licence must fulfil all requirements set out by local legislation. Provisional Licence holders must purchase special insurance.

If you have a Probationary Licence, you will be subject to a fee of €10 per day.

Driving Licences which restrict the use of vehicles not equipped with a breathalyser are not accepted.

Drivers who have held their Driving Licence for 1-3 years are subject to a surcharge of €10 per day. The maximum charge is €100 per rental.

For vehicles of the following types (according to the ACRISS car code or the first letter of the code): PDAR, LVAR you must have held your Driving Licence for at least 5 full years.

For vehicles of the following types (according to the ACRISS car code or the first letter of the code): XFAR, LDAR you must have held your Driving Licence for at least 6 full years.

For vehicles of the following types (according to the ACRISS car code or the first letter of the code): XVAR, LVAR you must have held your Driving Licence for at least 7 full years.

Your Driving Licence must have at least 6 months of validity remaining.

You and all Additional Drivers must have an International Driving Permit in addition to a National Driving Licence. The International Driving Permit (IDP) must be based on the "Geneva Convention of Road Traffic 1949", no other formats are accepted.

You and all Additional Drivers must have an International Driving Permit in addition to your National Driving Licence if it is not issued by the country where you are renting the vehicle. You are allowed to drive with the International Driving Permit for up to 3 months after the date of entry into the rental country. International Driving Permits are accepted only if you have either a Business or Visit Visa.

An International Driving Permit is required in addition to a National Driving Licence if the National Driving Licence you or any of the Additional Drivers hold is not clearly identifiable as a Driving Licence, e.g., it is in a non-Latin alphabet (e.g. Arabic, Chinese, Cyrillic, Japanese).

An International Driving Permit is required from those who are not citizens of:

  • EU
  • USA
  • Canada

An International Driving Permit is required if you are on a visit visa.

An International Driving Permit is required when staying in the rental country for longer than 30 days.

Drivers from countries not included in the Convention on Road Traffic of 8 November 1968 must provide a translation of the Driving Licence into the local language with an explanation of the category assured by a notary or the Embassy.

English translations of foreign licences are also accepted. The translation must be an official translation.

If your licence needs a translation and you cannot provide it, you can use the Supplier's local translation service. The cost of the translation service is €20. The translation process takes about 2 hour(s).

If your Driving Licence is not in English, Finnish or Swedish, you must present either an International Driving Permit in English or an official translation of your National Driving Licence in English.

You must validate your International Driving Permit by obtaining an endorsement from local authorities. The Supplier can do this on your behalf before your arrival. The fee for this service is €50. You must send copies of your passport and International Driving Permit to the Supplier beforehand. Please contact the Supplier directly for details.

Residents of countries that cannot issue International Driving Permits may present an official translation of their National Driving Licence. Only official translations into Finnish and Swedish are accepted. Only official translations into English and French are accepted. Only official translations into English and German are accepted. Only official translations into Italian are accepted. Only Japanese translations issued by the Japan Automobile Federation (JAF) are accepted.

Citizens of the Republic of China need a special official translation. Please contact the Supplier directly for details on how to obtain such a translation.

Driving Licences issued by Russia are only accepted if translated into the Latin alphabet.

Drivers from countries that cannot issue an International Driving Permit can use the Supplier's self-translation form. Please contact us directly for more details.

An International Driving Permit is mandatory for rentals longer than 2 month(s).

If you do not have an International Driving Permit, you must obtain a local Driving Permit. The permit is available locally for a fee. You must have a local Driving Permit. The fee is €50. The process of obtaining the permit may take several hours. Please note that this permit is not available at the Supplier's rental office. The Supplier's representative will go with you to the necessary local authorities. This service is only available during the local authorities' working hours. Please contact the Supplier directly for details.

Driving Licences from non-EU countries are only accepted if:

  • no visa for the rental country has been entered in your passport
  • a visa of the rental country has been entered in your passport, but you have been in Europe under 3 months. If you have been in Europe longer than that, you must present an EU Driving Licence.

This requirement does not apply to citizens of:

  • EU
  • EFTA
  • USA
  • Canada
  • Australia
  • Switzerland

The International Driving Permit must be valid for at least 2 year(s).

If the Driving Licence you present is in a non-Latin alphabet (e.g. Arabic, Chinese, Cyrillic, Japanese), you must also present a translation by the Embassy or Consulate. This requirement also applies to Driving Licences issued in Turkey.

Residents of the pick-up country must have a local National Driving Licence.

If you are not a citizen of the rental country, you are allowed to drive with your National Driving Licence for up to 90 days after the date of entry into the rental country. In order to be allowed to drive after that, you must obtain a temporary local Driving Licence of the rental country.

You must present a local National Driving Licence of the rental country if you've been in the rental country for longer than 3 months.

National Driving Licences issued in Greece in the EU format are accepted.

Drivers from the following countries are allowed to drive with their local National Driving Licence (no International Driving Permit needed):

Austria, Canada, Estonia, Norway, Romania, Zimbabwe.

This is allowed for up to 30 days after the date of entry into the rental country.

If you are renting in Northern Ireland and your licence is not issued in one of the above countries/areas, you must contact the Supplier 48 hours before your rental is due to start to make sure your licence is accepted.

Drivers from the following countries are allowed to drive with their local National Driving Licence (no International Driving Permit needed): Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, USA.

This is allowed for up to 3 months after the date of entry into the rental country.

Only National Driving Licences that meet the following requirements are accepted without an International Driving Permit:

  • must be issued by a country that is a contracting party of the Vienna Convention on Road Traffic
  • must be printed in the Latin alphabet
  • must be in credit card format

However, it is still highly recommended to have an International Driving Permit.

Alternatively, you may also attach a translation to your National Driving Licence.

Renters whose Driving Licences are not accepted should book the chauffeur service in order to be able to rent. Please contact us directly for details.

Only translations into French are accepted.

Citizens of the USA may rent without an International Driving Permit if they present an official translation of their National Driving Licence. Only official translations into Italian are accepted.

The International Driving Permit must be in the Latin alphabet.

Your name on the Driving Licence must be legible and printed in the Latin alphabet.

Please note that your passport and National Driving Licence must be issued by the same country. If your Driving Licence is issued by a different country, you must present a valid current residence visa or working permit for that country.

Original Chinese Driving Licences are only accepted if you use the Supplier's translation service.

Driving Licences issued by the People's Republic of China are only accepted if accompanied by a notarised translation approved and stamped by the Embassy or Consulate.

Driving Licences issued by the People's Republic of China may be accepted if you present the Supplier's official Certification Form. Please contact the Supplier for details on how to obtain this form as soon as your booking is confirmed.

This Supplier does not accept Chinese Driving Licences.

Those who hold a Driving Licence issued in Vietnam must present an authorised translation from the Vietnamese Ministry of Transportation in addition to their original Driving Licence.

Residents of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states must have an original GCC ID to be allowed to drive with their National Driving Licence.

Residents of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states must present their original passports. ID cards are not accepted.

Those who have a foreign ID must have a valid resident visa in a GCC member state and a valid visit visa in the country of rental.

Those who hold a UK Driving Licence must provide a one-time passcode generated by the DVLA online service "Share Driving Licence" to validate their driving record. The service is available here (the website is in English): https://www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence

Those who hold a UK Driving Licence must provide a printout of their Licence Summary from the DVLA online service 'Share Driving Licence' to validate their driving record. Those who hold a UK Driving Licence must provide either a one-time passcode generated by the DVLA online service "Share Driving Licence" or a printout of their Licence Summary from the same environment to validate their driving record. If you or any of the Additional Drivers hold an old style UK paper Driving Licence, you must also provide another form of photographic ID in the form of either a full valid passport, Armed Forces ID Card or a Police Warrant Card.

If you or any of the Additional Drivers hold an old style UK paper Driving Licence, you must also provide another form of photographic ID in the form of a full valid passport.

If you are required by the Supplier to undergo any DVLA check, you will be charged a fee.

If you are renting with a UK Driving Licence, you must also present your National Insurance number. If you are unable to do that, the Supplier has the right to refuse your rental or extra charges to validate the National Insurance number may apply.

Your passport, Driving Licence and other forms of ID may be subject to electronic ID verification by the Supplier.

Those holding a Driving Licence not issued by the rental country must also present:

  • Passport (non-residents of the rental country) (foreign customers)
  • Identification card of your country of residence
  • Proof of residence
  • Proof of home address
  • Flight tickets (when renting at an airport location)
  • Valid visa or residence permit (foreign customers)
  • Mainland Travel Permit (Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan residents)
  • Travel documents to prove dates of entry into and exit from your country of rental
  • Proof of address or a hotel reservation within the country of rental or, if the vehicle is rented on an island, on the same island
  • Home phone number
  • Local contact phone number
  • Second contact phone number

Residents of the pick-up country must present:

  • Local ID card (RG) (second generation)
  • Local National Driving Licence (CNH)
  • Paper counterpart of your National Driving Licence (residents of Northern Ireland only)
  • Local Health Insurance Card (the Yellow Card)
  • CPF (if your CPF number is shown on your RG or CNH, it is not necessary to present the CPF itself)
  • Tax number (Codice Fiscale) (for private rentals)
  • 2 recent and original utility bills with the renter's name and home address.

You must provide additional proof of your home address in the form of, for example, a recent utility bill or bank statement if you're renting in your country of residence and/or if you have a UK home address and fail the Equifax eIDVerifier check. You need two different items of proof. The items used as proof cannot be older than 2 months.

You may have to provide additional identification when picking up your vehicle in the form of:

  • Passport (must be in the Latin alphabet) (the original and one copy)
  • Identification card of your country of residence (EU citizens only) (residents of the pick-up country only) (must show your home address)
  • Local phone number (mobile numbers are accepted)
  • Landline phone number at home
  • Proof of home address in your country of residence

Identification documents must be readable in the Latin alphabet.

Identification documents must be original hard copies. Electronic copies are not accepted.

All the documentation that you present must be valid for at least 2 year(s) after the end of your rental period.

Residents of the pick-up country must pass the Supplier's address check to verify their registered home address.

Non-EU citizens must provide a doctor's certificate confirming their fitness to drive.

Citizens of the pick-up country who are renting for the first time from the particular Supplier must present a valid identity document.

The Supplier can ask additional information from you at the time of pick-up, e.g., regarding your insurance history. The Supplier reserves the right to decline the rental based on this information.

In some locations, the Supplier may require additional documentation. Please contact the Supplier directly for details.

You must present a credit card when picking up your rental vehicle.

You must present a credit card when picking up your rental vehicle (American Express is NOT accepted).

For some vehicle categories, 2 valid credit cards may be required.

2 valid credit cards are required for all car groups.

For renting vehicles in the Premium category and above, you must present 2 credit cards when picking up the vehicle.

You must have a local Driving Permit , it is available for purchase from the Supplier's representative for €50. The permit is only required for rentals lasting more than 30 days. This permit is only required if you do not have an International Driving Permit.

Please note that it is your responsibility to make sure that you have all the necessary documentation, that your Driving Licence is valid in your intended rental country and for your intended type of rental vehicle, and that you have the correct immigration documents. The same applies if you're planning to visit other countries in the rental vehicle. Your failure to do so will result in your rental being refused and/or considered a no-show and you will be charged accordingly.

If the Supplier refuses the rental due to insufficient documentation, you will be charged €50.

For renting cars of the following categories (according to the ACRISS code or first letter of the code): FFMR, FDAR you must also present 2 valid credit cards. The Supplier also accepts having only one credit card, if it is one of the following: Visa Platinum, MasterCard Platinum, Visa Infinite, Diamond card. The Supplier may also accept other premium credit cards. Please contact the Supplier directly for details.

For renting cars of the following categories (according to the ACRISS code or first letter of the code): PDAR, LVAR you must also present 2 valid credit cards, a return ticket out of your rental country. The second credit card must be a Gold credit card. The second credit must be one of the following: American Express, American Express Gold, American Express Platinum, American Express Centurion, MasterCard Gold, MasterCard Platinum, Visa Gold, Visa Platinum, Diners Club.

Please note that you must present the originals of all the documentation required. The Supplier does not accept printouts, photocopies and digital images.

Please note that the Supplier requires you to either pass a DMV (Department of Motor Vehicles) check or sign a driving record addendum.

NB! Special Driving Licence and driver age requirements apply for rentals in Northern Ireland. You must contact the Supplier directly for details as soon as your booking is confirmed if you want to rent from a location in Northern Ireland.

Please note that for vehicles with 9 or more seats additional legal restrictions may apply. For example, the requirement for a commercial Driving Licence in California if passengers are not family members.

It is your responsibility to ensure that you comply with the local legislation and that your Driving Licence is valid for the vehicle type that you wish to rent.

This Supplier has not informed us what kind of additional documentation is required, but we are trying to get this information. Please be aware that additional identification documents, such as a passport, are usually required. International Driving Permits may be required if your Driving Licence is not issued in the country where you are renting the vehicle.

Please note that if you do not match the driver requirements set out by the Supplier, you may appoint someone who does to drive the vehicle on your behalf. This means that you yourself are not allowed to drive the rental vehicle but assume all responsibility for your appointed driver.

Policies, Coverage and Taxes

Under no circumstances is the Supplier liable for any claims made by you against them for any lost profit, etc.

Local Tax Notice

We do our best to ensure that all the prices we display are inclusive of tax. However, please keep in mind that local taxes and fees, like airport surcharges, may be additionally applied by the Supplier on locally paid extra charges, like optional equipment and age-related fees. Local taxes and fees are controlled by local authorities and the Suppliers and may be subject to change.

If you break any of the conditions stipulated by the Supplier in the Rental Agreement or by the legislation of the rental country, the Supplier may end the rental with immediate effect and you will be responsible for all of the related costs.

If the Supplier is not able to rent out the vehicle after the end of your rental period by any fault of yours (e.g. damage to the vehicle, vehicle not returned on time), you will be subject to a penalty fee. The penalty fee is equal to 2 times the sum of regular rental fees for the same period of time.

Excess and Coverage

Excess is €1,000.

Excess is €1,000–2,000 depending on the vehicle category.

Excess is €1,000 minimum.

Excess is €2,000 maximum.

Default excess is €3,000–4,000 depending on the vehicle category.

Excess on Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) / Loss Damage Waiver (LDW) is €1,000 for all types of vehicles. The excess displayed with the vehicle you selected is an approximate amount. The exact amount depends on the specific make and model of the vehicle that you get on pick-up.

Excess on Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) / Loss Damage Waiver (LDW) is €1,000–2,000 depending on the type of the specific vehicle. The minimum chargeable amount in case of damage is €100.

Excess on Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is €1,000 for all types of vehicles.

In Marseille, excess is €5,000 for local customers and for customers who have not provided a flight number.

Please note that the excess is €5,000 if you pick up your rental vehicle in one of the following locations: Kamloops, Kelowna, Prince George, Terrace, Campbell River, Comox, Courtenay, Duncan, Nanaimo, North Vancouver, Port Hardy, Jasper and all Victoria locations on Vancouver Island.

Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) / Loss Damage Waiver (LDW) also includes fire damage.

Excess on Theft Protection (TP) / Theft Waiver (TW) is €1,500 for all types of vehicles.

In addition to the excess amount, you're also responsible for 10% of the total value of the vehicle.

In addition to the excess amount, the Supplier will also charge a fee for loss of revenue €50 per day until the vehicle can be put back into use.

This fee applies regardless of whether CDW/LDW is included or not.

The maximum fee amount is €500 if CDW/LDW is included or purchased.

The maximum fee amount is €1,000 if CDW/LDW is not included or purchased.

In case of theft, you will have to pay the Supplier for a full tank of fuel.

These amounts are applied if a waiver is included in the rates or purchased.

Theft Protection (TP) / Theft Waiver (TW) may not be included for rentals in Calabria, Sicily, Puglia and Campania. For rentals with pick-up in other areas, TP/TW may not cover the rental vehicle if an incident occurs in Calabria, Sicily, Puglia and Campania. Please ask the Supplier for details when you pick up the rental vehicle.

Please note that the Theft Protection (TP) / Theft Waiver (TW) excess is doubled if the theft/fire incident occurs in the regions of Puglia or Campania. The excess is doubled regardless of where the rental vehicle was picked up. If you purchase a Zero Excess product or excess waiver products, you will be charged the normal excess amount in case of theft or fire in the Puglia or Campania regions.

Theft Protection (TP) / Theft Waiver (TW) is included in CDW/LDW.

Theft Protection (TP) is included in the Damage Cover.

Third Party Liability (TPL) / Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI) is included in CDW/LDW.

Theft Protection (TP) / Theft Waiver (TW) also includes fire damage.

Excess is higher for drivers under the age of 21. For Young Drivers, an extra €500 is added on top of the usual excess amount. Excess is higher for drivers who have held their Driving Licence for less than 2 year(s). Excess is double for such drivers. Excess is higher for drivers above the age of 75. For Senior Drivers, an extra €500 is added on top of the usual excess amount. Excess is double for such drivers. Excess is €1,500 for such drivers. Excess is double for drivers older or younger than the specified driver age.

In the event of a rollover, the excess amount is €8,000. The same applies to airbag deployment.

Excess is unlimited if you do not purchase CDW/LDW or if it is not included in the rate.

Excess is €10,000 if you do not purchase CDW/LDW or if it is not included in the rate.

You can lower the excess by purchasing additional coverage products.

In case of disaster, you are liable for 50% of the value of the car.

In case of glass damage (windows, mirrors, etc.), you will be charged a fee of €50 (deducted from the excess amount).

In case of damage to wheels, you will be charged a fee of €50 (deducted from the excess amount).

Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) / Loss Damage Waiver (LDW) is not available if you:

  • are considered a Young Driver
  • are considered a local renter
  • are paying by debit card

If the Supplier's CDW/LDW is not available to you, you must provide proof that you have full coverage that applies to your rental vehicle to be able to rent.

Please note that CDW/LDW can only be used for one damage-causing event per rental. CDW/LDW only covers the damage that occurred first.

Please note that the excess may be higher than the one displayed in this offer if you are renting at one of the following locations: Hay River, Yellowknife, Whitehorse, Rouyn-Noranda, Val-d'Or, Queen Charlotte, Sandspit.

Please note that the Theft Protection (TP) / Theft Waiver (TW) excess is higher if the theft/fire incident occurs in the regions of Apulia, Campania, Sardinia or Sicily. The excess is higher regardless of where the rental vehicle was picked up. The excess amount is €5,000.

In case of damage to the rental vehicle, your liability for the damage is limited to the excess amount. Different excess amounts may apply. This Supplier has not provided the exact amounts, but we are trying to get this information. Please ask the Supplier for details when picking up the rental vehicle.

Coverage Exclusions

If you drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs, use the rental vehicle in any other negligent or reckless way, or break the conditions set out in the Rental Agreement, all applicable insurance covers, waivers, etc., will be deemed void and you will be fully responsible for all damage to the vehicle, as well as loss of use and any other related costs.

Only authorised drivers registered on the Rental Agreement are allowed to drive the rental vehicle. Damage caused by unauthorised drivers is not covered.

Coverage does not apply and you are liable for all damages up to the full cost of the rental vehicle if the insurance company classifies the incident as a non-insurance case or as a violation of traffic rules.

Please note that the standard coverage products, if any are included in the rate or purchased, do not cover accessories, such as tyres, windscreens, locks, wheel caps, etc.

Damage to the roof and to the underneath of the vehicle are not covered by standard coverage.

Damage to the following items is not covered:

  • chassis
  • engine
  • sump
  • catalytic converter
  • radiator
  • clutch
  • gearbox
  • brakes
  • antenna
  • windows
  • rear-view mirrors
  • wheels
  • tyres
  • interior
  • lights
  • petrol cap

Damage caused by the following is not covered:

  • any unforeseeable events
  • rollover
  • vandalism
  • uprisings, riots, civil unrest
  • attempted theft
  • animals
  • natural disasters
  • ash
  • gravel
  • sand
  • sandstorms
  • driving through rivers

The possible consequences of such damage to other parts of the vehicle are not covered either.

An empty battery is not covered.

Flat tyres are not covered.

Theft is not covered by standard coverage.

Lost keys are not covered by standard coverage.

Locking the keys in the rental vehicle is not covered.

Loss of vehicle documents is not covered by standard coverage.

Lost registration plates are not covered by standard coverage.
